His passion for music led him to enroll in a music class, where he honed his skills further. Later, he pursued higher education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he became the mass choir director, showcasing his leadership and musical abilities.
Music Career
During his time at KNUST, KODA was actively involved in various musical groups, including the “Music Wing of Baptist Students Union” and “KNUST’s Simply Jazz Crew.”
He also played a significant role in “Da Project,” a prominent contemporary gospel group in Ghana. His talent as a musician and producer shone through when he co-wrote and produced the album “Awurade Ei” for KNUST’s “God’s Instruments,” which gained widespread recognition in the country. KODA’s career soared as he collaborated with numerous gospel artists both locally and internationally, contributing to albums and supporting various gospel ministries through “The Anointed,” a music group he formed with friendsThroughout his career, KODA released several albums, each showcasing his musical versatility and heartfelt lyrics. Some of his notable albums include “Nyame Beye,” “Waye Wie,” “Black & White,” and “Oxygen.” These albums featured hits such as “Guide Me O,” “Nkwa Abodoo,” and “Adooso,” which resonated deeply with audiences.
